The winery where the sun sets

Muriel Wines' most western winery of  is located in the municipality of Meis, in Rías Baixas, almost 700 kilometers from Elciego, our home town in Rioja Alavesa. Through the large windows of Pazo Cilleiro's tasting room, we contemplate, in addition to a splendid view, the last rays of the sun of the day.

The tasting room is the latest of the recent developments that mark Pazo Cilleiro's activity. It has been created with the aim of serving more efficiently and with a better image to the growing demand of distributors and importers of all the markets in which we operate internationally. At the end of 2017 we started to build a new wing in the main building of the winery. Its ground floor serves as a new reception to the offices, while on the upper floor, a large open space will be from the summer of 2018 the new room for presentations and tastings. It is an environment endowed with natural light and with direct vision of a good part of the Albariño vineyards with which we elaborate our DO Rías Baixas wine. In short, a high professional equipment and an image consistent with the growing importance of the brand.

Another news affecting Pazo Cilleiro is the launch of the brand's website. In it we delve into the geographical, natural and viticultural values of the Val do Salnés area, the main area of the appellation of origin. We also inform about the characteristics of our white variety Albariño. It is the indigenous grape of these valleys and soft hills oriented to the estuaries. Very close to the winery, in fact, it is possible to visit well known coastal towns such as Cambados and Sanxenxo, whose typical seafood makes a fantastic pairing with our wine.
